Geocache Description:

The background:

A “flash mob” gathering of Geocachers. See The World Wide Flash Mob Event page for further information.

Last year there were 792 events in 52 countries, coordinated to happen at the same time to bring together Geocachers and maybe introduce others to Geocaching.

If you attended one last year the format has now changed a little, it can no longer just last the 15 minutes, the minimum allowed time is now 30 minutes. However as it's a flash mob it's still important to bring along the fun element and get the muggles wondering what on earth just happened!

At precisely 1800hrs on Saturday 13th June 2015 you are invited to join me at Plock Court to take part in a flash mob event. The flash mob element of the event will last EXACTLY 15 minutes, not a second longer! The event itself will finish at 1830hrs.

The theme:

Having read up on Plock Court it highlights kite flying being very popular, of course the song ‘Let’s go fly a kite’ immediately popped into my head, therefore the theme for the flash mob is Mary Poppins.

Please bring along your parasols, your spoon full of sugars, your one man bands, your supercalifragilisticexpialidocious selves and of course any kites you may have!

The event:

Drive to the parking area near the co-ordinates. Amble towards GZ and pretend you are a muggle. ACT LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW ANYONE ELSE. Don’t let your poppins, pop-out!

At exactly 1800hrs, no I won’t fly in, I will raise my parasol to a suitable sound track. As soon as you see this then please ‘step in time’ and ‘let’s go fly a kite’  – don’t make me a one man band!

This part will last exactly 15 minutes at which point I will also be taking a group photo.

After the 15 minutes is up, you need to de-Poppins yourselves and then we can get down to the important task of discovering and swapping TBs, having a good old chat and grabbing the nearby cache if you haven’t yet found it.

Although it’s not a requirement it would be really useful if you could sign the log book including how many numbers are in your caching group. These numbers, along with the photo are then sent in to the WWFM XII organisers.
