Railgrade - Listen to the Water Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Skookum Bear: As the cache owner has not indicated that they have visited the cache location to replace it if it was missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within a reasonable amount of time, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities. If the cache owner would like to replace a cache at this location, please submit a new geocache listing and it will be reviewed under the current Geocaching guidelines.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply - your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ether instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Geocache Description:

Spring is here and we're out hiking and riding this trail again.  We thought it would be nice to hide a few caches and add to the series already located along this historic railway.

We’ve added a parking coordinate for the Warfield end of the Trail.  The other apporach to this cache would be from the trailhead in Rossland just off Gelesz Road.

Please come prepared for the outdoors! Though this trail seems close to civilization, you are sort of “out there”.  It takes us about 1.5 – 2 hours to hike from Rossland to Warfield – quicker on skis, and even quicker on a bike.

Please resort to the hints if needed as tree cover and narrow valleys may impact GPSr accuracy.

The quickest and easiest way to this one might be to find a flatter route up and around.

Below the rail trail here is a neat rock outcropping overlooking a bit of a canyon on Trail Creek - but be careful - it's a steep scramble down to the rocks.
