Mad Russian--a type of hat you will see in the winter time that is a fur-lined bomber hat that you will see in the winter. You can wear the flaps up for a more Soviet look, or wear them down to keep your ears warm!
Just a quick Google search will clearly illustrate the type of hat I refer to here. Why did I bring them up? Well, my dad used to wear one of these in the winter. He had his ears frostbitten when he was a kid. He started wearing these to keep his ears warm as he got older. After being frostbitten, the person who went through this can suffer pain when it is extremely cold outside. He wore one of these to keep his ears warm and to prevent them from hurting during the winter. Anytime I see one of these "Mad Russian" hats, it makes me think of him.
