This is one of two geocaches I have placed along the California Riding and Hiking Trail (or the California Hiking and Riding Trail, depending on which trail signage you encounter).
This portion of the trail is in open space in Martinez. Whether you enter from the east or west, this trail segment rises and crests at about 130 meters elevation in a location that affords a nice 360 degree vista.
