Basically, the area is called Lovers Leap because two indians from different tribes were forbidden to be together even though they were in love. Since they were forbidden to be together in this life they figured it would be best to end their lives so that they could be together in the afterlife. They jumped off this ridge line together holding hands and that is why it’s called Lovers Leap.
Now that you know the story behind the name, it’s time to find the Geocache. While walking up Wills Mountain Road, you will be surround by trees on both sides. Once you get to the top of Wills Mountain Road, you’ll walk by an old building on the right, that was supposedly a museum at one point. According to elderly locals, before that it was a really nice night club for dancing. Just ignore the building because it has nothing to do with the beauty of Lovers Leap. Once you get to the ridge line you will see deep rooted rocks in the ground and at that point you should be standing on Lovers Leap. Looking off of the ridge you will engulfed in all the nature beauties of the land. Take a moment and take it all in. Then go about 30-50ft up the ridge line and you should be close to the Geocache. I’ll leave the rest to you to find it. Just remember to be safe and take your time finding the cache. It’s there and I know you will find it.
