Geocache Description:

A historic stone wall in Tuggeranong?

(From the ACT Government handout):

"The Boundary Wall was originally part of a more extensive boundary marker complex which was formed using a variety of techniques. Prior to the construction of the Tuggeranong Town Centre in modern times, the Tuggeranong boundary marker complex extended 1,800m from the eastern bank of the Murrumbidgee River to Drakeford Drive. The marker complex consisted of two distinct techniques: one was a stone wall and the other a ditch and bank system. The wall marks part of the northern boundary of a land grant of 2,560 acres, named Wanniassa and first taken up by Thomas MacQuoid, Sheriff of New South Wales, in 1837."

This wall aint that, although you can find details of the real wall here on the ACT Government web site and details of a short walk from Pine Island to the real wall John Evan's blog. My own walk there is documented as well. I wonder if we'll be commemorating all the walls we've built in 155 years? Somehow I think not.

Yet another FTF to TheSkype, well done!
