Oasis Gardens, formerly located at 141 Station Road, Sunnybank (where you are now standing) consisted of eight acres of lawns and subtropical gardens, three swimming pools, and a children's wading pool and playground. Other attractions included a mini zoo which boasted kangaroos, koalas and parrots. The site first opened in 1938 and closed 51 years later in 1989 due to devlopment interests in the area. At its peak it was considered Brisbane's finest tourist destination. These days an elite housing estate sits on the property.
The cache itself is a fairy easy find once you know where to look. The area is high in muggle traffic during peak hours so stealth will be required this is one i would not recommend for kids as the gz is located along a very busy roads so parents please keep an eye on your kids.
For older geocachers I'd love to hear some of your memories / stories from the oasis gardens please share them in the log this place was built and shut before my time.
