This event will be held on Sunday, May 3rd, 2015. Don't let the event name confuse you; we hope to maximize everyone's ability to attend by hosting this event on Sunday (the 3rd) rather than on Monday (the 4th).
Come dressed as a Star Wars character or at least wear your favorite Star Wars gear.
This promises to be an "out of this galaxy" event held at Fox Run Regional Park in northern Colorado Springs. We have reserved pavilion #5 for this event. The event will kick off at 1 pm and will conclude at 5 pm. This will be a pot-luck style gathering. We will provide Bantha Burgers, Hutt Dogs, Jawa Droppings (Baked Beans), and assorted beverages to include Yoda Soda. Please feel free to bring your own cleverly named food dishes to share. There are charcoal grills available at the site. Please note that no alcoholic beverages or glass bottles are allowed at Fox Run Park.

An interactive, fun new Star Wars themed geocache will be published during the event
Advanced notification of the coordinates to caches that will be published two days later
Custom "Cache Saber" geocoins will be available for purchase. These coins are part of a multi-event design but have custom finish and color combinations that are only available for the Colorado Springs area "May the 4th" events.
NOTE: On 25 March 2015, we learned that the Cache Saber geocoins will not be available in time for the events. We have elected to still get our event coins (which should be in my mid-May). We will now plan to do coin pre-sales at our "May the 4th" events and then a "Coin Pick Up" event when they finally arrive. If you are not able to attend the "Coin Pick Up" event, we can still deliver or ship your coins to you, depending on your preference. Although this news is a little disappointing, we view it as a minor inconvenience and will carry on with all our plans as scheduled.
