You do not have to enter the Mother's Day Paihia walk/run to join this geocaching event.
Here is an opportunity to set yourself a new challenge, and / or meet other cachers & congratulate those who walked or ran in the Mother's Day Paihia walk/run, after the official prize-giving Finishes
It's not too late to sign up if you do fancy giving the MD @ P a go, walking or running, runwalkseries website otherwise just come along to this mini cache event
The event will be held after the prizegiving.
"Prizegiving will be held at 11.00am at the Paihia Village Green."
Event time approx: 11.45am-12.15pm
Look out for Riser5(me) with the Geocaching Flag Strapped to my back!
Not that all cachers are necessarily competitive , but we can compares times to encourage each other, set goals for the next one, & have our own mini cacher's prize-giving.
I may even get organised enough for some other treats if we get enough walkers & runners so check the clock when you finish & remember your time to jot down when you sign the cache log !

Bits you may need to know about the Fun run/walk
Entries close 6 May 2015 - no entries will be accepted on the day.
START AREAS
Both the 8km run and 6km walk distances start on Marsden Road (adjacent the Paihia Village Green)
START TIMES
To increase safety on the course, start times will be staggered by order of the category entered.
The first category (Runners wearing red numbers) will start at 9.00am, with each subsequent category (Fast Walkers wearing green numbers, Casual Walkers wearing yellow numbers and Pram Walkers wearing blue numbers) starting approximately 1 minute apart.
CANCELLATION
In the unlikely event of cancellation, notice will be given on Northland's More FM 91.6 and posted on the home page at https://www.facebook.com/runwalkseries. Where possible attempts will be made to email participants who have supplied an email address with their entry. While we endeavor to make a decision to cancel an event as early as possible, due to the nature of such events, situations can occur quickly and without warning close to the start of an event.
