A walk down what used to be the main street of Redding when Redding was founded. It has been closed off to car traffic and is now open to foot traffic, yet, some of the old buildings remain. The street was originally part of Market street and was the main road that locals came to to shop in Redding (or Reading, back then) when there was just a railroad that ended in "Poverty Flats, or Terminus" as it was also referred to. Eventually when Highway 99 made it's way to Redding, naturally, it went through the main street of town, Market Street, in this case.
