When folks paint out of doors they often use en plein air, French for “in the open air”, to describe the activity. We’ve also heard it referred to as painting in situ. In situ is defined as “in its original place.” We dropped this cache as we returned from an en plein air session with the Yolo Arts – Ag & Art Project at Buckeye Creek Ranch.
