Poco dopo la falesia, con brevissima deviazione si giunge ad una calchera, antica fornace che serviva a produrre la calce viva. Per la produzione si usavano rocce ricche di carbonato di calcio (CaCO3) che dovevano cuocere per 3 giorni e mezzo ad una temperatura di 800-1000 gradi.

Shortly after the cliff, a short detour leads to a "calchera", an ancient oven that was used to produce quicklime. For the production it was used rocks rich in calcium carbonate (CaCO3) which had to cook for 3 and a half days at a temperature of 800-1000 degrees.
