Geocache Description:

The North Downs Series comprises 94 caches set in three loops on and below the chalk downland between Wrotham and Snodland. The route follows sections of the North Downs Way, Pilgrims’ Way and Wealdway, footpaths that offer some magnificent views of the Kent countryside. The walk passes through varied countryside including woodland, chalk grassland and footpaths through fields below the Downs. To enjoy the fine views the series should, ideally, be completed in good weather.

This is the 29th cache in the Ryarsh Ramble circuit and cache #066 in the North Downs series. For full details of the complete series and the three loops that make it up see TT01.

The published co-ordinates will bring you to a gate.

If the gate is made of wood, walk 221 metres (726 feet) at a bearing of 196° (S 16° W).

If the gate is made of metal, walk 329 metres (1080 feet) at a bearing of 326° (N 56° W).

The public right of way from this point may not be obvious, as the landowner often fails to reinstate the footpath after ploughing / sowing. If you follow the directions you should not stray from the correct path.
