I don't know what my inspiration for this one was. Perhaps it was a lot of time working on Moby caches. Perhaps it was DerekTiffany's Castle of the Ancients. Maybe it was just walking by and saying "Gee, that looks like a fun place to find a cache!" There's a good view from up here. I watched a blue heron stalk lunch in the creek for a bit. There's evidence of deer everywhere.
On March 22:
– 1894 - The first playoff game for the Stanley Cup starts. (Go HAWKS!)
1963 - The Beatles' first album, Please Please Me, is released in the United Kingdom.
1972 - The US Congress sends the Equal Rights Amendment to the states for ratification
Its also the earliest Easter can be, though it last happened in 1818, and will not happen again until 2285.
You're looking for a camo'd peanut butter jar. I'm not sure about night caching or hunting concerns. I didn't see any information on either, however the cacher should always cache responsibly.
For more info on the history or future of this area, visit the nearby caches of Future Neabsco Trail or better yet Tayloe's Iron Works...you won't be disappointed.
Lastly, feel free to share other tidbits on this day in history, including your own. Is it your birthday, anniversary, cool caching experience?
Congrats to Serrabou and Roo for FTF!
