This cache is named after an exciting storm chasing adventure that Snaproll and Moosetracks took last year.
Yes, we thoroughly enjoy storm chasing! So there was a beautiful supercell over in Indiana last spring, so Snaproll and Moosetracks zoomed off to go check it out. We got into a fierce, little hailstorm that was so loud that Snaproll and Moosetracks had to yell in order to hear each other inside the car. As the storm dissipated, we headed back towards home and passed by this GZ. Though it was only lightly raining, all the sudden we heard a deafening CRASH! We turned our heads to see a HUGE lightning bolt strike one of the telephone poles just ahead of us. So many sparks were falling that it looked like it was snowing! What an experience!
