There is a small car parking area as you reach the loch and the main road ends. The tracks to either side aren't suitable for public vehicle use.
The walk to this cache is along a track, although it can be rough and wet in places. The coastline is stunning and ideal for otters. You might be able to see their favoured tracks and runways and spot a spraint spot, otter spraints smell fishy and will contain fish scales and crab claws usually.
Looking out south to the far side of Loch Buie you'll see some peaks with Drum Fada being the larger at 405m. You'll be looking toward an area known as Laggan Deer Forest, now mainly rugged hills with sparse trees, the forest that once would have covered a lot of Mull's hillsides long gone. This land has been in the Corbett family since 1921, and is still managed from Loch Buie house which you'll be able to see as you return to your car.
