Enter Talking Water Gardens at the main gate and take any path. At any branching of the path, choose the path which takes you further away from the main entrance. Eventually you will pass the end of the last pond at the northern most boundary of the gardens. You will not hear the sound of any water talking. Other sounds abound though; bird calls, breezes, railroad bang and bump, interstate traffic, aircraft, TWG visitors (particularly pets and children). Give a good listen, Can you hear the whispering pine?
If you've taken the most direct route to GZ you will have walked more than a half mile. The cache is a five gallon bucket artfully decorated in a fern/camo pattern and filled with a variety of stuffed toy animals for trade. It was won in a drawing at a Geocache Event. Come prepared to exchange your baubles for the cache baubles.
The security of TWG has been vastly improved with the erection of a seven foot black chain-link fence. The cache has been fenced out of the garden. To approach the Silence of the North follow the fence to the corner pass through the unlocked gate, make two left turns and pass through the other gate. Backtrack outside the fence to the discreet evergreen. If you are looking at a locked gate, and think conditions are appropriate, you can slide under the security fence close to the whispering evergreen at GZ.
The bucket resides in silence behind a very discreetly whispering evergreen. It is further disguised with natural camouflage which abounds in the area. The camo is to discourage vagrant muggle looting coming in from the noise filled right-of-way to the east of the gardens. When your visit to this site is done, please replace the bucket to its silent residence. Enjoy your stroll through the Talking Water Water Gardens.
