Geocache Description:

What a better way to celebrate CITO and Earth Day weekend than to get back to nature? This event will be a great way to enjoy the beauty of mother nature and experience the Shenango River Lake after dark!

This will be an official GeoMaSh(Geocachers of the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys) Event. You don't have to be a member of the group to come...the more the merrier! We aren't exclusive or anything like that! If you like camping, if you like night caching, and if you like hanging out with fellow geocachers...then this is the event for you! On to the details

WHO: Hopefully all of you!

WHAT: A fun filled evening of fellowship, food, fun, camping, camp fire....mother nature...oh...and NIGHT CACHING! The coordinates are for the main parking area for the Shenango Lake Campground on the northern side of Shenango River Lake..

The campsites will be announced after the plan is finalized with the Army Corps of Engineers, who run the campground. They were kind enough to allow us to camp here overnight and have our Night Cache Event! Special thanks to them!
As the campsites are adjacent to the lake, feel free to bring your fishing poles to do a little night fishing as well if you want!

Feel free to bring your families, there will be an open bathroom for our use...so no worries about that!!

WHEN?

Saturday, April 25th 2015
The idea is to meet at the parking lot around 6:30PM and get set up at the various campsites and set up before dark. The coordinates for the night caches will be given out just after dark and you will have the rest of the night to enjoy and go find them.
We will provide s'mores and some water. We would ask that you bring some sort of snack to share if you like, and something to drink. If we all pitch in and bring a little, we may even have a feast! Please post what you plan on bringing.
In the morning, feel free to pack up your tent and hit the trail whenever you are ready, officially we will try to be out campsites by 10AM.

NIGHT CACHES

There will be several new caches placed for this event, . The twist is that these will be NIGHT CACHES, thats right...we will be following fire tacks in the dark to find the caches! So bring a good flashlight, and perhaps even one of those new UV flashlights, because the Doc & I have something up our sleeves:)
