Spoiler Alert
If you haven't watched Love/Hate, then we would suggest you look away now...
Previously on Love/Hate:
We saw many scenes of domestic bliss and otherwise at the house where gangland boss Nidge (played by Tom Vaughan-Lawlor) and his long suffering wife Trish (played by Aoibhinn McGinnity ) lived with their family.

We saw some tender moments

But then there were scenes which would definitely not count as domestic bliss...
We saw Nidge look up how to load a glock on youtube along with some other well… stuff…

We saw Nidge intimidate everyone from the clowns at birthday parties to his own gang.
We saw Darren crown Nidge King when he took over from John-Boy

He did his fair share of moaning about having to work the bar-be-queue when they had caterers in. Even at those events he never stopped plotting, calling his second son John so the Gardai would not suspect his involvement in the murder of John-Boy
He wouldn't let up on Tommy in case Siobhan talked...there was no way he would allow his niece to get counselling

Over the years we saw quite a lot of Trish, and more than anyone’s fair share of sneakers, neatly packed in their boxes.

We saw the family making a run for it when their lives were threatened.
We saw Nidge come and go and do a fair amount of curtain twitching. We saw Trish phoning and phoning and phoning while Nidge tried it on with other peoples wives, or the prostitutes in the brothel, and we saw Nidge in the bad books sleeping on the sofa.

It was no wonder really that he became so paranoid as both the Gardai and his gangland enemies were out to get him. When Nidge was arrested at home and taken in for questioning he spat in the arresting Gardas face.

Dano and and his gang tried to kidnap him outside his house and threw him in the boot of a car. Luckily Darren came to the rescue, and dodged all Danos bullets, but shot Lizzies brother dead when trying to set Nidge free. That led to repercussions!
There is a link to a youtube clip on the scene below
Note: This scene is rated as being suitable for those over 18 years of age:
Darren saves Nidge from Dano's gang
It was not surprising then when Lizzie (played by Caoilfhionn Dunne) and Barry Keoghan who played Wayne broke into Nidge and Trish's home. Who could forget the image of Nidge hiding under the bed with the samurai sword.

Yes a lot happened. We saw Nidge waiting for news of the hit on Darren and falling to the floor crying with guilt to be consoled by Trish.

In the final series we saw how Siobhan planted the finger bone of the murdered RIRA man Git to frame Nidge and how she told Trish that Nidge was involved in Janet's Death.
