SC2 Series: City of Lafayette Traditional Geocache

This series is geared toward the geocacher just getting started in the game. Most of these are based on caches originally hidden by short circuit 2, a prolific member of our local community who is now hiding caches for us in the great beyond.

This one is right off famous St. Charles Avenue in the beautiful Garden District. Walk around, stare at oak trees, streetcars, beautiful houses and other folks out promenading. You will likely want tweezers and a log roller or steady hand for this one. Lots of foot traffic as well as the renowned Garden District Private Patrol, so please be aware of your surroundings while retrieving and replacing.

"The city of Lafayette, now the garden district and the Irish Channel, served as the first seat of  Jefferson parish government. The Egyptian revival Jefferson parish Courthouse is at 2219 Rousseau Street. New Orleans later annexed it."
