Uffington has a prehistoric horse. Cerne Abbas a giant. This village has its symbol now entrenched on a slope at Piopio College. The piopio is an extinct native thrush and this limestone outline of a piopio was constructed in 2014 by a group of year 10 students using the trenching method. It is clearly visible across SH3 and farmland from GZ.
The cache is sparrow sized and contains a small log book but no pen. It has a friend who may redirect if you are not thinking clearly. Parking is available at the farm owners gateway and access is allowed into the farm. Be aware of hawks, magpies and other angry birds that may inhabit one of the five trees on the fenceline in the immediate vicinity of the cache. . Number 12 in the giant series.
