BEWARE THERE IS AN ELECTRIC FENCE NEAR. Although the electric fence was not activated when the cache was placed please be careful.
The Ngaruroro River is 164km long and flows from the Kaweka, Ruahine and Kaimanawa Ranges. Ngaruroro means obscure in Te Reo. This is a great place to visit for a splash in the river or a leisurely walk. Skimming stones into the river is always a favourite here.
The access point is off Carrick Road. Please note only driving access available during daylight hours. Oct-March gates locked between 9pm-6am April 7pm-6am. Access can be gained by the cycle way- you will need to walk or cycle though.
