This cache can be found near the ruins of an abandoned stone building. Please park at the quary / turning circle at the end of the metaled road. Walk down a gravel road past the three houses. A path across the field at the end of the gravel road leads to stone ruin where the cache is hidden. Once on the path go straight ahead, the stone ruin is visible on the ridge of the field. Out to sea half a mile away is the sea stack that marks the entrance to the Pipers Cave. Great views of the Cuillins on one side and Macleods Tables on the other.
Please place back as found.
A second cache, Piper's Cave, at the southern end of Harlosh Point, requires a half mile walk across grazing. Where the land ends and the sea begins, a spindly 30-foot high basalt sea stack is the first indication you are on the right track, you can see this from the croft cache. A steep path descends to the base of the stack and, with the tide low, it is possible to scramble along the rocky shoreline to the cave entrance. The mouth is impressively tall but the tunnel within tapers sharply into a dark, narrow passage. Visit the Pipers Cave cache for the full story and directions to the cave itself.
[The last house by the cache are the owners, feel free to give them a wave]
