Midmy7's uncle, aunt and cousins used to live across the road from this park, Collyer's Playground, and we remember this park in a different incarnation with traditional swings and a very large gum tree in it - perhaps memory is playing tricks. It now adheres to all modern paradigms of sun protection and safety, but is not completely without charm with its "soft fall" ramparts, slippery dip, see saw, modern low swings and spider web apparatus. It is aimed at relatively younger children, so our test drivers, aged 9-12, were not captivated in the absence of cool quirky equipment such as can be found in other parks nearby.
