Geocache Description:

Cache is placed just under a mile from the posted car park co-ords. The path is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs and can be muddy at times. You will pass a well kept pet cemetery and the remains of past industry, the jetty was where the coal was unloaded to fuel the Cullen gas works. Further along you will pass a slipway and see the remains of an old Salmon Bothy. Path is very pleasant and the views spectacular, enjoy.

This cache was placed in the memory of my very good friend. Anyone who lives locally will know who i mean. He was always there when anyone wanted something done be it a tap washer that needed replacing or a full fitted kitchen. He was instrumental in obtaining a lottery grant to set up the local allotment  and a seat is placed there in his memory. The seat at GZ was where he went with his dogs to sort out any problems he had. As well as my best friend he was along with his devoted wife, a keen geocacher. As we live over 500 miles away we have left maintenence in the very good hands of the seatownies, but we will also be making an annual visit. After finding the cache, please take the time to sit and take in the view and reflect upon how precious life is.

The cache has been placed with the kind permission of the Seafield and Stathspey estate office.
