Geocache Description:

Welcome to Cache In Trash Out

CITO Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geochaching community.

Geocachers around the world celebrate International CITO weekend annually by hosting and participating in CITO events in their local area.

The 13th Annual Cache In Trash Out weekend is scheduled for the weekend of this event.

Sunday, April 26

10:30 AM - Meet at posted coordinates for CITO instruction

12:00 PM - Head over to Coliseum Restaurant (Waypoint Below)

The City has given us Eastgate Park and Fines Drive Park to clean as our part of CITO. For those who participated last year, these are the same parks. We will be cleaning along both sides of the creek from Eastgate Drive north towards Dewdney Ave. The City has agreed to supply a dumpster, garbage bags and will also let us use approximately 20 litter pickers that they have.  If you have something similar of your own, please feel free to bring it along. That will certainly be a lot easier on all our backs!! Because we will be cleaning near the creek, rubber boots would likely be a good idea and likely gloves as well. We will meet near the posted waypoint at 10:30 and clean until noon. I have made a reservation at Coliseum Restaurant in the Victoria Square Mall for noon. They have a Sunday brunch and we will have a room to ourselves. We will be able to warm up, fill up on some great food and visit.

Everyone who logs an attended at a CITO event this weekend gets a souvenir for their geocaching profile.
