На кратко:
Само на 150 метра от централната част на града има тунел, които не води до никъде. Всъщност те са два, но до втората част ще ви заведа някой друг път.
На път към кеша може да се наложи да минете през тунела. Безопасно е, но е желателно кешът да се търси през деня.
Историята:
Трасето което трябва да премине през тунелите започва от спортната зала в града и завършва на Шиварив мост. То се движи успоредно на най - натоварените улици в града. Улиците Брянска, Юрий Венелин и бул. Априлов. Идеята е била да се разтовари движението по основните пътни артерии на Габрово посока прохода Шипка. След падането на комунизма проекта умира, поради липсва на средства. Дори вторият тунел не е прокопан докрай.
В момента тунелът се ползва от пешеходци.
Друг любопитен факт е, че собствениците на отчуждените имоти са обезщетени, но и днес живеят в имотите си.
