The cache is not at the coordinates given, but is a suitable location for parking your car. It is part of a series of caches placed in the area of Milford on Sea known as the Upper Pleasure Grounds, incorporating Studland Common and Sharvells Copse. To find this cache you will have needed to collect the relevant coordinate information whilst visiting and walking between the other five caches in the series.
The Pleasure Grounds were given to the local parish in 1890, and contained small water meadows with alder and willow along the valley of the Danes Stream which runs parallel to the coast at this location. Studland Common is at its western end is mostly rough grassland and scrub whilst Sharvells Copse was originally a pine wood forest that was destroyed in the 1987 hurricane but now is being regenerated as mixed woodland. Permissive paths allow access throughout this area and the caches have been hidden with this in mind so that they are easily accessible from these footpaths. Permission has been granted from the Milford on Sea Parish Council for caches to be placed in this area. Please respect the flora and fauna in the area and replace the caches out of sight as you found them. The numbers needed to fit the letters in the coordinate equation should have been identified as follows: X and Y in the front of the log books at cache Nos 2 and 5. A and B from the plaque at Waypoint S1. C, D and E from the interpretation board at Waypoint S2. The bonus cache is located at: N 50° 43.XCE W.01° 36.Y(A-D)(B+C) The ‘checksum’ for the Northings and Westings is 31
