Geocache Description:

Ko Tei Teng is a great viewpoint overlooking most of Kat O. It's some 15-20 mins walk from the pier.

Kat O island, also known as Crooked Island, just about 2.35 km2 in size, is located in the north-east of Hong Kong. It is part of the Hong Kong Geopark, and most of the island is designated country park.
Kat O has been inhabited for about 300 years, but over the last few decades most inhabitants left for a life in the city. Now only a small community is left. It is also the northern boundary of the Double Haven harbour, most of which is a marine park.
The island can be reached by private boat or local tour only, there is a ferry service but this takes you to Sha Tau Kok which is still border restricted area.
From this viewpoint you have great views of Double Haven and the many islands in the area to the south, and the container ports of Shenzhen in the north. A few fish farms can also be spotted around the island.
Be sure to visit the Tin Hau temple, and the Geoheritage Centre down in Tung O village.
