Here's how this is going to work. It may be different from some of the other WWFMs you've attended in the past.
Event Schedule:
9:15 AM: Meet up at Sylvester Park. THIS MEET UP IS TECHNICALLY THE EVENT. We can do whatever we want for 30 minutes. Have fun. 9:45 AM: Split up to walk over to Heritage Park.
Prior to 10:00 AM
Cachers should act like "muggles" doing who-knows-what. Dealers choice. Just split up, make it not obvious that we all have the same agenda. Sit on a bench and read a book. Take pictures of the scenery. Jog around on the trails nearby and convientely pass us by at 10:00 exactly. The little nes could even throw a frisbee back and forth in the field.
10:00 AM (this will be ON THE DOT)
I will set down a bucket at/very close to the given coordinates and begin playing "geocaching music". All cachers should immediately come towards said bucket. If you have swag to trade, TB's to exchange, etc, you should do it quick because you won't have long. Someone will be passing out half-sheets - that is your log entry and your entry in to the "raffle" to win awesome Geocaching swag. This is the point at which you will need to make sure to fill out a log-sheet and drop it off in the bucket that was set down.
10:15 AM (again, ON THE DOT)
I will pick up the bucket and lead everyone a few blocks over to Sylvester Park. The walk will take about five minutes.
10:20 AM (or when we arrive)
Everyone should gather around the bucket which has been set down somewhere in Sylvester Park (most likely near or actually on the gazebo). At this point we will be drawing out log entries out of the bucket for several prizes. Once we have given away all of the prizes we will take a group photo.
10:30 AM:
Once you hear music again, Leave!!! The point being this is a "flash mob" and it's supposed to be very quick!
Post-10:30 AM:
I'm sure a group or two will head out in search of some caches. There's plenty in the area.
I'm in need of several people to help me out. Some jobs that need to be done are:
- Someone to hold a box for travel bug exchange
- Someone to hold a box for swag trading
- Someone to hand out blank log-sheets/raffle entry forms
- Someone to collect entries/maintain the bucket
If you can help with any of this, that is so much appreciated! Just mention it in your Will Attend log.
