Geocache Description:

The Butterflies series is a circular 6.5 mile walk starting and finishing at Tur Langton. Many of the butterflies named in the series can be seen in the countryside around Tur Langton.

Please see #1 for main description of the walk.

The Common Blue butterfly is found in a wide variety of habitats, including unimproved grassland such as roadside verges and waste ground, downland, woodland clearings, heathland and even sand dunes. While the male has bright blue uppersides, the female is primarily brown, with a highly variable amount of blue.

The caterpillars feed mainly on Bird’s-foot Trefoil and clover.
