Geocache Description:

This cache is our family's first hide! We have enjoyed walking the bike trail in Hoback Park for some years now, and we want to share the experience. This trail is bike, dog, and kid friendly, so bring the whole family! Take your time and enjoy the scenery when you are caching. And when you do find the cache, please put it back exactly where you found it! Have fun! Beware of the many muggles who walk this trail!

Hoback Park offers a wonderful summer walk along the Licking River from Heath High School through the park to Irving-Wick Drive East. With grant funds, the corridor was extended to the River Oaks subdivision and when the bridge on State Route 79 underwent renovation, an under-bridge bikeway was included to allow safe passage across State Route 79. A bikeway to connect to the Heath City Water Park and a tunnel underneath Irving-Wick Drive East to ensure a safe crossing has recently been added.

Hoback Park also encompasses 20.52 acres located east of South 30th Street on Dorsey Mill Road. Facilities include five (5) Little League fields, a basketball court, picnic areas, children's play facility, restrooms, and an enclosed shelter. During the summer, the Heath Sertoma Club offers a well-rounded Little League program including farm and varsity baseball, girls farm and varsity softball and T-ball. The site features access to the South Fork Licking River and wooded areas for hiking and picnicking.
