La Tour Eiffel / Der Eiffelturm / The Eiffeltower
Nicht nur schön, auch praktisch, wenn dich in Paris der Hunger überkommt und du dabei den Himmel sehen möchtest, oder wie der Schriftsteller Guy de Maupassant einfach nur den Anblick „der großen gelöchterten Giraffe“ nicht ertragen kannst, weshalb er angeblich täglich im 1. Stock des Turmes (im Restaurant Jules Verne) speiste, nur um den Eisengiganten nicht sehen zu müssen...
Kopien des Turms gibt es reichlich: in Tokyo, in Tegucigalpa / Honduras, in der chinesischen Stadt Hangzhou, in dem Dorf Parizh in der russischen Provinz, in Prag und neben vielen anderen, natürlich ebenso in Las Vegas. Und in Berlin? Aber klar! Der ist allerdings aus Holz. Dafür kann man direkt nebenan Boule spielen. Oder in einer Bücherbox ein Buch tauschen. Oder einen Cache finden...
Da sich der Cache (natürlich) weder auf dem Dach, noch im Inneren des Centre Français befindet (in dem es übrigens nicht nur Tagungsräume für Frankophile gibt, sondern auch ein kleines Kino und ein Spezialitätenrestaurant), beantworte nur kurz die folgenden Fragen und schon kannst du zugreifen. Und danach vielleicht noch 'ne ruhige Kugel schieben...
1) In den 20'er Jahren war der Eiffelturm die höchste Werbefläche in Frankreich. Für welche Marke? Der Buchstabenwert des 6. Buchstabens der gesuchten Marke = A.
2) Aus wie vielen Glühbirnen bestand die Leuchtreklame, die noch gut 40km entfernt zu sehen war? Die erste Ziffer der Gesamtzahl = B
3) Gustave Eiffel hatte sich im Turm ein Zimmer eingerichtet. In welchem Stockwerk befand und befindet es sich noch heute? = C
4) Wieviel Besucher genossen den Ausblick vom Turm in den Kriegsjahren zwischen 1940 – 1945? Anzahl = D
5) Es existiert ein Nachrichtenvideo (im französischen Medienarchiv von ina.fr) über den Mann, dem nach 15 Jahren Vorbereitungszeit 1989 endlich erlaubt wurde vom Palais de Chaillot auf einem ca. 800 Meter langen Drahtseil über die Seine zur zweiten Etage des Eiffelturms zu balancieren. Der Lauf dauerte fast eine Stunde. Finde heraus um welchen Seiltänzer es sich handelt und finde dann das schlicht nach ihm benannte Video. Wenn er seinen Fuß erstmals auf das Seil setzt, wird kurz Ort und Datum eingeblendet. Addiere die erste Ziffer des Datums zur Letzten und du hast = E
6) Zu guter Letzt: Falls er, sie, es sich nun in den Eiffelturm verliebt hat, sorry, der Eiffelturm ist bereits vergeben. Eine Amerikanerin hat ihn 2007 geheiratet und trägt seither seinen Namen. Wie heißt die Dame und wann wurde sie geboren? Geburtsmonat = F.
Na dann, checke hier (Eiffelchecker) wenn du magst. Achte dabei aber auch auf die korrekte N(orth)/E(east) Einstellung beim Eingeben deiner Lösung; und danach begib dich zur ersten Besichtigung (und für ein paar Photos vielleicht) hierhin: N AB° CC. ADE // E 013° 20. CDF
Nimm danach, genau von diesem Punkt aus, den Lift zum Restaurant im 1. Stock, um deinen Besuch ins Gästebuch einzutragen, indem du dich nochmal 199m auf 61,58° bewegst.

Not only beautiful, but also practical, when you're hungry in Paris and want to see the sky or, just like the author Guy de Maupassant, who just couldn't stand the sight of that „big, pierced giraffe“ and therefor had his daily lunch inside the tower's restaurant Jules Verne on the 1st floor, so he didn't had to see the iron giant...
There are quite some few copies of the Eiffeltower around the world: in Tokyo, in Tegucigalpa/Honduras, in the chinese city Hangzhou, in the village Parizh in the russian backwoods, in Prague and beside many others, for sure, also in Vegas.
But in Berlin? Hell, yeah! Although this one is made out of wood, you can play Boule or have a book exchange in the Book-Box right next to. Or find a cache...
Because the cache is surely not located on the rooftop of, or inside Centre Français (but in wich you not only find conference rooms for francophiles, but also a small cinema and a french specialities restaurant), just quickly answer the following questions and then snap it. And afterwards you might have a cushy number...
1) In the 20's, the Eiffeltower was the highest advertising space in France. For wich company? The letter value of the 6th letter of the searched company = A
2) How many light bulbs where used for the illumination ad, that was visible for at least 30miles? The 1st number of the digit sum = B (but check this one twice, as I found at least one false count on one english spoken media...)
3) Gustave Eiffel build himself a room inside the tower. On which level was (and still is) it located? = C
4) How many visitors enjoyed the view from the tower within the years of war between 1940 to 1945? Number in total = D.
5) There is a french news video existing (hosted by the french Mediaarchive ina.fr), that shows the man who, after 15 years of preparing, finally in 1989 was allowed to cross the river Seine from Palais de Chaillot to the second level of Eiffeltower on one 800 meters long wire rope. That walk lasted almost one hour. Find out the name of this tightrope artist and find the video that was just named after him. Exactly when he sets his foot on the wire for the first time, in his white show dress, the video flashes a place and a date. Sum up the 1st and the last number of the shown date and you get = E
6) Last but not least: If he, she, it now has fallen in love with the Eiffeltower, sorry, he's already taken. An american woman has married him in 2007 and carries his name since. What's her name and when she's born? Month of Birth = F.

La Tour Eiffel: pas seulement belle, pratique aussi! quand à Paris la faim te prend et qu'en mangeant tu souhaites voir le ciel ou, comme l'écrivain Guy de Maupassant, tu ne supportes simplement pas la vue de la "grande girafe trouée", raison pour laquelle, paraît-il, il mangeait chaque jour au 1er étage de la tour, juste pour ne pas voir le géant de fer...
Des copies de la Tour, il y en a assez: à Tokyo, à Tegucigalpa au Honduras, dans la ville chinoise de Hangzou, à Parizh, village de la province russe, à Prague et, à côté de nombreuses autres, à Las Vegas aussi bien-sûr! Et à Berlin? Évidemment!
Ici, elle est en bois. A côté, on peut jouer aux boules. Ou échanger un livre dans une Bücherbox (boîte à lire). Ou trouver une cache...

Au moment où il pose le pied la première fois sur le câble apparaissent à l'écran des indications sur le lieu et la date de la séquence filmée. Additionne le premier et le dernier chiffre de la date; le résultat = E
6) Enfin, une dernière chose: au cas où quelqu'un ou quelqu'une venait à tomber amoureux de la Tour Eiffel, désolé, la Tour Eiffel est déjà prise. Une Américaine l'a épousée en 2007 et porte depuis son nom. Comment s'appelle la dame et quand est-elle née? Mois de naissance = F
