This cache is located on Dowadee Island, just off Soldiers Point. It is only a couple of hundred metres from the mainland, but requires a boat or ideally a kayak to make it out there. A nice little spot for a secluded picnic, fish, or explore the small island. A kayak can be hired from the nearby marina (closest launch point), and you can have a nice short paddle around the island.
Plenty of pelicans regularly call this island home and it is not unusual to see 15-20 of them hanging around waiting for your visit. Once on the beach of the island the cache is not very far away. Keep an eye out for the resident spiders who like to set up their webs in-between the trees.
