Highest mountain in England at 3210ft
This is quite a nice place to celebrate my 10000th find that I should have past by this date. The day after I am doing Snowdon.
All are welcome to meet up at the summit of Scafell Pike at 12:00 hrs Saturday, 30th May. Finish at 12:31 hrs.
Here we can chat about anything caching, admire the scenery and talk about anything that comes to mind over lunch.
How you climb the mountain is entirely up to you but please go prepared and remember mountain safety and the weather is very important to bear in mind. Weather can change rapidly in the Lake District so please do not take any risks. The rest is common sense but although most are experienced , please read about mountain safety before you ascend if you are not. Going down is often more dangerous.
There are several routes, some not so hard as others. I am going up via Eskdale. Best to examine nearby caches for more info.
