This cache is placed along the beautiful Peshtigo River that we enjoy viewing while Up North at our cottage. My parents bought our cottage in Marinette County 28 years ago when I was in 8th grade. We've been coming up nearly every weekend since then. Now we bring our own 12-year old daughter to enjoy the magic of the North Woods! You can access this cache by driving or hiking 3/4 of a mile on the Riverside Trail (road) where you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the river and the cache. Once you find the cache, consider hiking up the hill and exploring the other trails in this section of the Peshtigo River State Forest.
The Spring Rapids Trail System is located approximately 5 miles west of Crivitz off of County Road W onto Kirby Lake Lane. The trailhead is located directly off of Kirby Lake Lane, and there is an ample parking lot. The system offers approximately 5 miles of trails.
