The SNC Woodland Challenge is a series of caches placed on SNC woodlots. These properties are often not actively used by the public, and have no maintained trails. There are sometimes wetlands, streams, ditches, and other challenging terrain that you may need to overcome to find the geocache.
Follow the rough ATV trail winding through the woods to this geocache location. In some places this trail is flat, dry, and pleasant, and other parts of the trail were completely flooded at the time of placement in the spring. Like others in this series, the hike is quite a challenge. Please replace the cache as found. After you find the cache, be sure to check out the pleasant creek a few meters to the west.
This is an actual hike, and it will take some time. You should consider bringing a few things before going on a hike like this:
- Rubber boots
- Sunscreen
- Bugspray (even in spring and fall, keeps ticks away)
- snacks
- water
- cell phone in case you get hurt out there!
