Minisceongo Creek Near The Trestle Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

youngmike927: During a maintenance walk today I couldn't find this one. I also discovered that there are two new No Trespassing signs near the posted trailhead. Although I feel the actual cache location is fine I don't want anyone to get nervous while attempting this, so unfortunately I am archiving this cache.

Geocache Description:

I recently noticed that this trail is designated as a potential greenway trail as it is an "Existing Route - Easy To Designate".  I've been looking to place some geocaches and this area fits the bill.  Please CITO.

As kids we would ride our bikes up and down this trail along the Minisceongo Creek from Route 9W to Samsondale Avenue .  We used to call the creek the dye stream as almost every weekday the creek would be a different color.  I remember it being orange, purple and brown. Orange was my favorite. The Garnerville Terminal is located upstream and the textile industry disappeared by 1980.  This spot used to be one of our favorite spots to stop, take a break and hang out.  Crazy kids we were.  Back then there was no graffit as there is now.  You can probably find closer parking but it is not recommended.
