The castle stands tall and proud on top of a mountain in the city of Marugame, overloking the surrounding plain. The views from the castle on a clear day are wonderful - the sea with islands and bridges, the mountains on all other sdes, and the city below.
Besides the stone walls, few of the buildings at Marugame Castle still stand today, though the Ote Ichino Gate, Ote Nino Gate, and the tenshu (keep), which underwent a major restoration in 1950, still stand. All of these original buildings have been declared Important Cultural Properties by the Japanese Government. Marugame castle is one of only a dozen Japanese castles to still have an original wooden tenshu built before 1860
The cache, a magnetic micro, can be found very close to the castle.
T = 3 because it's a hard walk up the hill.
