Access to this cache is from a township gravel road. Park at 44 17.918 and 80 56.173. Take the trail entrance here and not the signed trail entrance further to the east (unless you want to take the long way around to the cache). During the summer the trail does become overgrown in places and the mosquitoes are plentiful.
This cache is a replacement cache for the original Saugeen Valley Alps Cache that was hidden in 2007. A recent windstorm blew down the tree that held the original cache. This trail takes you into a fifty acre tract of mainly hardwood forest managed by the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority. It is a nice walk in the springtime to see the wild flowers, in the summer to see the birds and in the autumn to see the leaves.
