[ITA] Un tempo isolata e circondata da un elegante parco adorno di statue, ora circondata dalla cerchia edilizia della borgata di Villazzano, Villa de Mersi trova origine già nel Medioevo. I successivi rimaneggiamenti in epoca rinascimentale la vedono arricchirsi della tipica torretta, a coronamento delle alture di proprietà nobiliari e borghesi. Dopo un lungo restauro Villa de Mersi è tornata ad essere di recente una delle più belle ville del Trentino, questo grazie ad uno splendido giardino. Gli spazi verdi, giardino, corte, frutteto appartenenti al complesso di Villa de Mersi costituiscono infatti un arredo naturale di grande pregio. La parte del giardino a ridosso della villa si compone di una parte storica di impianto barocco, con fontanone centrale in asse con il viale di accesso, sei parterre di lavanda a mezzogiorno e parte ottocentesca di marcato gusto romantico a nord.
La Villa e il Giardino sono ora di proprietà del Comune di Trento. La villa è utilizzata per convegni e congressi, ma nota soprattutto per la celebrazione di matrimoni civili nelle sala affrescata del piano terra. Il giardino invece è sempre aperto al pubblico tutti i giorni con orari diversificati a seconda delle stagioni: aperto dalle ore 7.30 alle ore 17.30 in inverno (ora solare), dalle ore 7.30 alle ore 19.30 nel periodo estivo (ora legale) e fino alle 21.00 in luglio e agosto. C'è anche una piccola area gioco per bambini, ma l'ingresso è vietato ai cani. Attenzione ai cancelli a chiusura automatica.
Non andate a cercare il cache di sabato mattina o fino a metà pomeriggio, spesso ci sono celebrazioni di matrimoni, anche più di uno dopo l'altro. Oppure confondetevi fra gli invitati...

After a long restoration Villa de Mersi has once again become recently one of the most beautiful villas of Trentino, thanks to a beautiful garden. Green spaces, garden, courtyard, orchard belonging to the complex of Villa de Mersi are in fact a natural furniture of great value. The part of the garden behind the villa consists of a historical part of Baroque style, with a fountain in the central axis with the access road, six lavender parterre at noon and the nineteenth-century marked Romantic style part northward.
The Villa and the Garden are now owned by the town of Trento. The villa is used for conferences and congresses, but best known for the celebration of civil weddings in the frescoed hall of the ground floor. The garden instead is always open to the public every day with times varied according to the season: open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm in winter (winter time), from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm in the summer time (daylight savings time) and up to 9.00 pm in July and August. There is also a small playground area for children, but the entrance is forbidden to dogs. Beware of self-closing gates.
