So remember fellow cachers, the fun part of this cache is not the physical cache at the end, (although of course finding a cache and the trinkets inside is always fun!) but the best bit is the route you take in working out the clues! The views between clue one and clue two are fantastic, and even as you then go towards the final stage, the views are still amazing!
The co-ordinates given to you will take you to stage 1, which is a telephone/power pole with a small name tag with 2 words on it, the second word being COTT. Using the first word as the clue word, and using the code A=1, B=2, C=3 etc, work out the co-ordinates to stage 2 as follows - N056' 29.(3rd letter +1) (1st letter +3) (4th letter -1) W002' 49.(1st letter +1) (3rd letter -2) (4th letter only)
This takes you to stage 2, where you will find a structure & building. On the door to the building there is a notice that says 'CAUTION Radio Transmitters Operating' on it (do NOT go inside fence!). Underneath this warning there is a blue box with white writing. Using the same code as clue 1, and using the first word in the blue box, work out the code from to the final location, and container - Co-ordinates are: N056' 29.(3rd letter +4) (3rd letter -1) (3rd letter only) W002' 48.(4th letter +2) (4th letter only) (4th letter +3)
Now you have the final clue, take another look at the view and how beautiful it can be on a clear day, maybe take some photos to rememberit, and head off to find the cache itself! It is a small click and lock tub with a magnetic base. Please note although there is no specific parking, there are two very wide footpaths either side of the underpass where I bumped up onto when I left the cache, plus a small road about 150 yds in the Monifieth direction, on the right hand side.
