Willow Creek Ridge Summit Traditional Cache

This small Lock and Lock container is located atop the Summit of Willow Creek Hills, at an elevation of 1,756 meters. To reach this geocache, expect an off-trail hike of about 8 kilometers with at least 250 meters of elevation gain.

From the Indian Graves Ridge Summit, simply head west. Go down to a marshy drainage, then cross up to an old well road. From here, just pick a way through the steep forest. There are no trails. Thankfully, the trees are sparse and the bushwhacking is simple. Eventually you will reach a small obstructed viewpoint. Head slightly north but mostly west to a small col, then up to this geocache site. This viewpoint is the best along the ridge, giving views of Sentinel Peak and Mount Burke on clear days.

To descend, go Southeast to a drainage and follow it back to the old well road. The well road meets up with the hiking trail which you can follow back to your car.
