This is what you can expect on this trail: The caches in this trail are all named after lakes in our great province. Cache containers are micros and larger. There will be a mix of container types and some will be winter friendly and some won't. For this reason there won't be a winter attribute at all because of snow levels on the sides of the roads in the winter will vary. Some of the caches will require you to walk thru ditches so depending on time of year and water levels rubber boots might be a good idea.
Payuk Lake:
Payuk Lake is a glacial lake located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) southeast of Bakers Narrows, Manitoba, Canada.
Payuk Lake is oriented in a southwest to northeast direction. The primary inlet is Mistik Creek and it drains via Payuk Creek into Lake Athapapuskow as part of the Nelson River basin. The lake is surrounded by Precambrian boreal forest, a mixed forest of coniferous and deciduous trees of the Canadian Shield including black spruce and jack pine.[1] There is a paved boat launch accessible from Manitoba Highway 10.[2]
