This cache will bring you to Turtle Log Bridge, a very picturesque setting overlooking parts of Mirror Lake. The view is beautiful, particularly during the fall when vibrant colors reflect off the lake. Its namesake is an anchored log not very far out that turtles will climb on to sun themselves. It is also not uncommon to see a blue heron, egret, or some other fisher using it as a hunting platform. Several swans were swimming about when I placed this cache, If something is on the log when you grab the cache, please share!
The downside of this location is that it is not very pedestrian friendly, and the best parking is at Mirror Lake Beach about a 1/4 mile away, making this a park, walk, and grab. Do yourself a favor and avoid the rush hours; I'm not sure I realized the volume of cars in this otherwise sleepy little town. Mirror Lake Beach, however, is a beautiful spot on its own with plenty of activities throughout the summer season, including free "Movies on the Beach" on Friday nights.
