Geocache Description:

One cache in a series that I am placing along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail in the southern part of Hartman Creek State Park. The intent of these caches is to get you out to a more remote part of HCSP and enjoy a good hike on the IAT while searching for and hopefully finding some new caches.

This cache is placed near the location where Flat Jack Goes Backpacking was formerly hidden. Since he had to hike off and check out another trail, a nice location was left open for me to add to my IAT caches here at HCSP. None of my caches along the trail are hard to find, but the hike out will be a bit farther than usual and this #7 cache will put you in line to go after my other caches farther south down the trail. This cache is nothing new to those of you who have ventured out on the trails after my other caches, just a small camo container and log hidden in my normal winter friendly fashion. The attached link will give you more info about HCSP and the Ice Age Trail. If you do not wish to follow the IAT south through HCSP, you can park on the side of the road where the IAT crosses Emmons Creek Road in the Emmons Creek Fishery Area. Follow the trail north to this and other caches or south to some of my ECFA - IAT caches. Please note that there are designated biking trails in HCSP, but bikes and horses are not allowed on most sections of the IAT. Hunters may also be present in these areas during open seasons - please see the attached link for more info.
