I have spoken to her and she has not had access to a computer or wifi to pick up the trackables that she took from the event inventory, and she will do so when she gets home to Australia.

The Why:

Come one, come all to welcome fellow Australian cacher chrissy61 to our wonderful city of Victoria, BC.

The Story:

Many of you may remember that in 2011 GCGV held the 1st and only GCGV Track Me Challenge. We all brought a trackable that we wanted to enter into a trackable race, and all those trackables were sent to Australia where they would be picked up by geocachers over there to begin the race. Similarly we did the same for them over here.
Well back then Mrs. GO! Team entered her trackable "TB3QV2M - RED 3 Corner Pocket" (you can see the trackable page HERE). Well it came in dead last.. In fact it never even got started. It was received in Australia and put into the starting event, it was picked up, and whoever picked it up didn't log they had it and placed it in a remote cache that no one visited in the entire year the race was on. Finally after giving up on it and moving it to lost status on January 19, 2012, it was finally found in New South Wales and picked up by someone the very next day on January 20, 2012. However the Race was over, and for that Mrs. GO! Team got a booby prize. And that is when I put a note on it that I would like it come home.

The trackable has recently made it's way into chrissy61's hands, and luck be it she is coming to Victoria BC on holiday! She contacted me and asked how to get it into my hands, and I told her I would hold an event in honor of her visiting our city and for returning that trackable to us!

The Details:

The event will be held at the posted coordinates which is Confederation Garden Court, a beautiful location that has two wonderful water features and displays the provincial crests of all of our beautiful provinces.
The event is on 06/27/2015 and will start at 11:00am running for one hour until 12:00 Noon, so come on down and meet chrissy61 and give her a warm GCGV welcome. Also bring a few of your trackables to the event so that chrissy61 can discover a few or even possibly move them along.
