Geocache Description:

The story of Dorothy starts long before OZ. In fact, before she moved to Kansas to live with her aunt and uncle, her family was settled in Marshall County, Indiana.

Skipping along, one sunny, spring day, Dorothy was on her way home from school. Taking her usual shortcut through Lake/Stringer Cemetery, she strolled down the parallel dirt paths. She took in the large shade trees, spotted with burl wood, making them appear before her as large ogres with massive warts! This made her stop for a moment and laugh, but she kept on her way, imagining what the ogres might sound like. As she slipped into the woods, Dorothy was pleasantly taken aback at the first sight of spring, as a sea of violet flooded her senses. She danced through the "Purple Poppies", giggling with delight, when, suddenly, Dorothy felt faint. The flowers started spinning and before she knew it she was on the ground. Just before she closed her eyes, she noticed a box...

Follow Dorothy's lightly traveled path through a scene straight out of a storybook!
