Cachen ligger intill Stenmagasinet som uppfördes i samband med ett stenröjningsprojekt under de svåra nödåren 1868 - 69. Ägaren till Ädelfors Bruk igångsatte ett stort arbete för att få åkermarken på bland annat Repperda gård stenfri. De bästa och jämnaste stenarna transporterades med oxspann till stenhuset. Övriga stenar användes till de breda och imponerande stenmurar som finns i Repperda by.
Magasinet är uppfört i tre våningar under ett skifferklätt pyramidtak. Ursprungligen användes byggnaden som spannmålsmagasin, bl.a. för utdelande av säd till fattiga. Stenmagasinet kallades ert lång tid för "Arkivet" eftersom gruvbolagens gamla arkiv var bevarat där. Under samma tid inrymde huset petroleum och dynamit för gruvdriften samt även en likbod för de som förolyckats vid gruvarbetet
Idag inrymmer det ett Gruv- och mineralmuseet med bla. den Bielkeska samlingen, från senare hälften av 1700-talet. Det är en av Sveriges absolut finaste samlingar med mineral från hela världen - drygt 7.000 föremål
The cache is situated next to Stone magazine which was built in connection with a stone clearance projects during the difficult years of famine 1868 - 69. The owner of the Ädelfors Mill started put a lot of work to get the arable land on among other Repperda farm stone free. The best and smoothest stones were transported by ox team to stone house. Other stones were used to the wide and impressive stone walls found in Repperda village.
The magazine is housed on three floors in a slate climbed pyramidtak. Originally the building was used as a granary, among others for the distribution of grain to the poor. Stone magazine called your time for "Archives" because the mining companies' old archives were kept there. During the same period, housed the House of petroleum and dynamite for mining and also the bodies for those who lost their lives in mining work
Today it houses a mining and mineral museum with blah. the Bielkeska collection, from the latter half of the 1700s. It is one of Sweden's finest collections of minerals from around the world - more than 7,000 objects
