Rother Valley Country Park covers 3 square kilometres, has four artificial lakes, recreational activities, a minature railway, play areas for the kids and nature reserves.
If you’re interested in making the most of the day you could take a walk along the Trans Pennine Trail and visit the numerous caches that run parallel to the valley between Beighton and Killamarsh. These are accessible from the park and we will be happy to point the way.
Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and the Rother Valley Country Park ranger service have kindly offered to support the event by providing a gazebo and donating a range of items you could use as swappables. They are keen to promote geocaching, so here is our chance to meet each other, perhaps recruit some novices and show people what a friendly bunch we geocachers are.
There are 2 options for parking - one free and one chargeable, depending how much of a walk you want on the day.
Look forward to seeing you
